Donating and fundraising for the Sex Workers' Crisis Fund
We're always grateful when community members and allies want to raise money to support sex workers in Victoria.
Vixen doesn't accept donations for our operating costs
Vixen's operating costs are funded by the Victorian Department of Health, and we don't accept donations for Vixen's operations. This means any donations or fundraising connected to Vixen go to the Sex Workers' Crisis Fund.
The Sex Workers' Crisis Fund
The Sex Workers' Crisis Fund is facilitated by Vixen and provides direct financial support to sex workers in Victoria who are experiencing crisis. Money donated to the Crisis Fund goes to sex workers who need it, and it isn't used for Vixen's running costs.
If you want to fundraise for the Crisis Fund
Please email us at info@vixen.org.au before your fundraiser goes public and let us know:
what the fundraiser is and who is running it
how and where you plan to promote it
how and when you plan to pass the funds on to us
We'll get back to you to talk through the details and make sure the wording is accurate. When describing your fundraiser, please say that funds are going to the Sex Workers' Crisis Fund facilitated by Vixen, rather than to Vixen, and please don't use Vixen's name or logo until we've agreed on it together.
